In junior levels, we prepare our dancers for Ballet, Tap and Jazz exams with syllabus work; or try out a Fusion, Funk or Hip-Hop class to explore rhythm and music in a friendly, fun environment, with a mix of syllabus and open class work. We also introduce contemporary classes for our nine and ten-year olds. Students can sit exams annually, and are also given the opportunity to perform on stage at the end of the year.
Tap
We run American Tap classes following the NZAMD ( New Zealand Association of Modern Dance) tap syllabus for our 6-10 year olds.
When exams are finished, we dedicate our time to choreographing and polishing a dance for our end of year production.
Jazz
Our American Jazz classes run following the NZAMD Jazz syllabus and teach the basic fundamentals of Jazz while encouraging our students to explore their own sense of style! Our 6-7 year olds work on a pre-grade syllabus, while the NZAMD syllabus starts between 7-9 years old (Grade 1) , When exams are finished, we dedicate our time to choreographing and polishing a dance for our end of year production.
